Valley Rubber offer complete design and manufacturing solutions for a wide range of rubber products. Our dedicated team of engineers and rubber technologists have over 25 years expeience in processing both thermoset and thermoplastic rubber.
Valley Rubber manufacture autoclave cured, formed tubes and convoluted hoses, together with specialist compression and injection rubber mouldings to TS 16949.
Our convoluted tubes are used in respirator face-mask applications and Aqualungs. Our non-reinforced hoses for low-pressure sytems carry a wide variety of fluids including water, air and fuel especially for the automotive industry. Other products include rubber-to-metal bondings, dual moulded hoses, mandrel formed hoses and extrusions.
Technically based, we offer advice and services to designers and engineers on materials and manufacturing processes and provide solutions to technical problems involving all rubber materials.

History of Valley Rubber
The Company was first set up under the name of Heston Rubber founded by the Collis family in Feb 1929 Outlined below is a time line of the start of the company bringing us forward to Valley Rubber at its present day.
- February 1929 - Heston Rubber Founded by the Collis Family in London.
- September 1947 - Heston purchase M E Stace Ltd in Cheltenham.
- March 1949 - Heston move to a new factory in Hengoed, South Wales.
- January 1960 - Heston sold to William Warne Holding Ltd.
- September 1968 - William Warne Holding Ltd purchased by Lindustries Ltd.
- November 1968 - Hengoed factory was closed and moved to Ystrad Mynach.
- July 1970 - Heston Rubber Ltd changed its name to Warne Surgical Products Ltd.
- December 1971 - Distribution agreement signed with Codan Gummi A/S to promote hose products in UK.
- December 1978 - Codan Gummi A/S purchase 60% of Heston’s share capital.
- November 1979 - Welsh manufacturing site moved to a purpose built factory in Ystrad Mynach.
- February 1984 - First Automotive OEM contract for fuel hose to Rover.
- October 1984 - Remaining 40% of Heston’s shares were purchased by Codan Gummi A/S.
- August 1987 - Name was changed to Heston Codan Rubber Ltd.
- April 1992 - Financal Functions centralised in Corby for both Welsh and Corby site.
- May 1998 - Roulunds Fabriker A/S acquire Codan Gummi A/S.
- January 1999 - UK operations divisionalised into industrial and automotive.
- February 1999 - Wales manufacturing grouped into a new company called Roulunds Codan Wales Ltd.
- May 2005 - Roulunds Codan Wales Ltd was purchased by Cellular Developments Ltd.
- June 2005 - Named changed to Valley Rubber Ltd.
- April 2008 - Valley Rubber Ltd was purchased by Mr David Barker.
Although we have only been trading under the name Valley Rubber Ltd for the last 3 years you can see from the timeline above that we have a cherished history in rubber manufacturing and pride ourselves on our ability to work with all our customers to meet all expectations.
The current workforce have over 150 yrs of rubber manufacturing experience, and believe that we can exceed the demands of todays rubber manufacturing environment.
